Torizon NVIDIA

From Prototype to Production, Faster

Develop and deploy applications using Docker containers for repeatable, predictable workflows. Torizon integrates with VS Code and supports remote debugging to speed up iteration on Jetson devices.

Long-Term Support

Torizon provides long-term support for the operating system, delivering security patches, bug fixes, and maintenance updates over an extended lifecycle.

Comply with the Latest Security Regulations

Torizon reduces the burden of complying with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and FDA by automating SBOM creation, vulnerability scanning and update infrastructure.

Made for NVIDIA Jetson

Torizon integrates with NVIDIA Jetson developer kits and their software ecosystem, so you can use Torizon alongside popular AI frameworks.

Manage the Entire Device Lifecycle

Torizon supports the entire device lifecycle, helping development and operations teams build, deploy, and manage devices.

Ship ROS 2 Robots on Jetson

Keep your ROS 2 stack as it is. Run the official ROS 2 containers on Torizon OS and get OTA updates, remote access and CRA-ready security for every robot in your fleet.

Official ROS 2 containers, no porting

ROS 2 is built for Ubuntu, and on Torizon it still is: the official images run in a container, so apt install ros-jazzy-* works. Use Nav2, MoveIt 2, ros2_control and your own packages unchanged.

Update the whole robot safely

Ship ROS nodes, AI models and the OS as one tested release, over the air or offline. If an update fails, the robot rolls back to the last working version.

Debug robots in the field

Open a secure remote session to any robot, check nodes and logs, and monitor CPU, memory and temperature without driving to site.

Ready for the Cyber Resilience Act

SBOMs, vulnerability scanning and signed updates help connected robots meet the EU CRA and FDA cybersecurity requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Torizon OS runs ROS 2 in containers. The official ROS 2 Jazzy images run on Torizon OS for Jetson Orin Nano, and the same approach works on Toradex modules such as the Aquila AM69.

We recommend ROS 2 Jazzy Jalisco, the current long-term support release, supported until May 2029. Because ROS runs in a container, each application can use its own distribution without changing the operating system.

Torizon OS for Jetson is built on JetPack 7.2, the same JetPack version that Isaac ROS 4.6 supports. The NVIDIA container runtime gives containers access to the GPU. Contact us to discuss GPU-accelerated ROS 2 for your design.

Your ROS 2 stack still runs on Ubuntu, inside the container. Underneath, Torizon OS is a minimal, read-only operating system with atomic updates, automatic rollback, long-term maintenance and built-in vulnerability management. You update each robot as one tested release instead of patching packages in the field.

Push a new container version, a new OS version, or both from Torizon Cloud to one robot or the whole fleet. If an update fails, the device rolls back. Robots without a network connection can be updated offline from a USB drive.

Torizon OS images are available for the Jetson Orin Nano and Jetson AGX Thor developer kits on JetPack 7.2, plus carrier boards and systems from Connect Tech, PCB Arts and Avalue. Developer kits are supported through the Torizon community. Contact us for production support on your own design.
